Museum Hours

Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Dancing Wings 11a.m to 7 p.m. last timed entry at 6:40 p.m.)
Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m.

The museum will be open from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. on January 1, 2009.

The museum is open 363 days a year.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  

General Admission

(does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden)

Adults: $10.00
Seniors (62 years and older) : $9.00
Children ages 2-15: $8.00
Children younger than age 2: FREE
Strong members: FREE

All children age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden

General admission fee plus $3.00 per person for nonmembers; $1.50 per person for members; free for children younger than 2. Due to limited capacity, entry to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is by timed ticket only. Advance purchase is recommended. Please Note: The last timed entry into the butterfly garden is at 4:40 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and on Sunday. Last timed entry is at 6:40 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Matinee Admission

The museum offers matinee pricing on general admission at selected times and days throughout the year.
 
Matinee Admission is available from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Matinee Admission is not available on Fridays, weekends, holidays, or during school breaks.

Matinee Admission is not available from July 1 through Labor Day.   

Adult: $5.50
Senior: $5.00
Children ages 2-15: $4.50  
Children younger than age 2: FREE

Military Discount

The museum offers a $2 discount on general admission fees for Military personnel (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy) and their immediate family members who present appropriate and valid identification.
