Don’t miss the only year-round indoor butterfly garden in Upstate New York.
Enter a lush rain-forest environment and walk among approximately 800 brilliantly-colored, free-flying tropical and native butterflies that flutter about (and may even land on shoulders or hands). A paved path leads guests through tropical foliage and two water features, including a cascading waterfall. Visit the chrysalis case and see emerging butterflies.
Plan for a breathtaking 20-minute experience in the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden. The Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is a tropical environment with temperature, humidity, and surface moisture normally associated with such a setting.
General admission fee plus $3.00 per person for nonmembers; $1.50 per person for members; free for children younger than 2.
The museum offers matinee pricing on general admission at selected times and days throughout the year. Visiting during matinee pricing periods offers the most cost-effective way to visit the butterfly garden.
Adult: $5.50 Matinee general admission + $3.00 butterfly garden admission = $8.50
Senior: $5.00 Matinee general admission + $3.00 butterfly garden admission = $8.00
Children ages 2-15: $4.50 Matinee general admission+ $3.00 butterfly garden admission = $7.50
Children younger than age 2: FREE
Matinee pricing is available from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Matinee pricing is not available on Fridays, weekends, holidays, or during school breaks.
Matinee pricing is not available from July 1 through Labor Day.
Due to limited capacity, entry to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is by timed ticket only. The last timed entry into the butterfly garden is at 20 minutes before closing. Call 585-263-2700 to purchase your tickets in advance.
